The FIVB Board of Administration approved, on June 22nd 2023, the creation of the FIVB Foundation, a visionary initiative that will aim to inspire, connect and serve communities around the world while promoting social well-being through volleyball.
The FIVB Foundation, yet another innovative project pioneered by FIVB President Dr Ary S. Graça F°, is set to be officially launched at the end of 2023. Its primary objectives will be to unite communities through volleyball projects, champion the transformative power of volleyball and foster sustainable and collaborative communities.
Following the approval of the FIVB Board of Administration, the FIVB will now undertake the necessary steps to finalise the legal framework and strategic planning, before submitting the case to the Swiss Authorities for the creation of the FIVB Foundation.
FIVB President Dr Ary S. Graça F° said:
While the existing FIVB Volleyball Empowerment and Development programmes focus on the development of national teams and National Federations all over the world, the FIVB Foundation will work with existing volleyball projects around the globe and engage partners to join the global volleyball movement. By investing in positive social causes, the FIVB Foundation will look to positively benefit children and families around the globe, while fostering tolerance among communities.
