Happy World Volleyball Day!  

The wait is over. Today, 7 July, the Global Volleyball Movement comes together to celebrate World Volleyball Day 2026 – and there’s still time to win the campaign’s biggest prize yet 

One year after volleyball communities made history with the first-ever World Volleyball Day, the celebration returns bigger than ever. From beaches and parks to schools, clubs, sports halls and community courts, people of all ages around the world are marking the sport’s global day of celebration. 

A celebration for everyone 

The beauty of volleyball lies in its simplicity. All it takes is a ball, some space and the desire to play. No matter your age, background, experience or ability level, volleyball has a place for everyone. 

That’s exactly what today is about. Whether you’re competing at the highest level, enjoying a casual rally with friends or practising by yourself, every volleyball story is worth celebrating. 

This World Volleyball Day, we want to see volleyball through your eyes. Share where you’re playing and who you’re playing with. Show us the moments that make volleyball special to you. When posting your celebrations, be sure to use:

The grand prize is the final chapter in a giveaway series that has put prizes into the hands of the Global Volleyball Movement over recent weeks, including seven volleyballs and beach volleyballs signed by the world’s top players, seven VBTV annual subscriptions for a full year of live and on-demand volleyball, and seven exclusive artworks from the Olympic Games Paris 2024. 

Building on a historic first year 

Last year, the world came together to launch a new tradition for volleyball. From grassroots courts to meetings with world leaders, the inaugural World Volleyball Day reached more than 280 million people across social media and inspired participation from athletes, fans, clubs, National Federations, partners and communities across the globe. 

Today, we build on that momentum and make #WorldVolleyballDay even bigger.

World Volleyball Day is about more than just the sport itself. It is a celebration of the values that unite the Global Volleyball Movement. Volleyball has the power to bring people together and make the world a better place.
